Reader comment on item: Why Shariah Must Be Opposed
in response to reader comment: OK, If Not Sharia - Then What?

Submitted by Edwin (Canada), Jun 18, 2010 at 23:33

You have stated that the book you call "Holy Quran" is a codification of law. It is not. I have been looking for a codification of Sharia Law so that I can write a paper about its compatibility with Provincial law. I have tried to read this book in that context and it is far from a codification of law. It is so confusing and contradictory and in many places does not correspond with observable reality. Perhaps you meant to give the title of another book, and wrote "Holy Quran" by mistake. I really need to get this codification of Sharia. I cannot use a book of myth and superstition in place of a book of precedent and case law.
