Reader comment on item: Why Shariah Must Be Opposed
in response to reader comment: What and where is Shariah ?

Submitted by Edwin (Canada), Jun 18, 2010 at 23:08

I have been looking for the codification of Sharia Law for comparative purposes. You claim there is no such thing. You must be wrong. If there is no codification then it is not law. No person on earth is foolish enough to suggest that there can be a system of law that has not been codified. If it is as you say, then Sharia is not law, but merely opinion. Even then in law, when judges render opinions based on legal precedent, they enter their opinion into the record and it becomes a part of the codification.
