Shariah versus Halakha

Reader comment on item: Why Shariah Must Be Opposed

Submitted by Nenette Grunberg (United States), Aug 5, 2009 at 14:02

Halakha is a personal and private practice for the Jews . No matter which part of the World the Jew establishes himself he will always keep his laws, including the diatery laws as private to his beliefs. No ifs buts and why . Proselytysing in Judaism is not acceptable . You may become a Jew by your own free will but no Jew will try to convert anyone to Judaism .History has proven this over and over.

Shariah ? A different situation. The practicing Moslems have no tolerance towards anybody who does not follow islamic laws . You either accept their forms of beliefs or you as a Christian or a Jew don't belong in this World. Again " No ifs buts and why" So the Jew lets you live your own way and you leave him alone . The Moslem will destroy everything you and your beliefs stand for unless theirs become the laws of our world. I as a Christian chose to become a Jew because of Judaism's tolerance. No ifs ands buts or whys
