Reader comment on item: Why Shariah Must Be Opposed

Submitted by Kathy (United States), Aug 21, 2009 at 18:30

No one who has witnessed the rapid spread of Islam can possibly say it isn't actively recruiting as many converts as possible. This is exactly why I fear the possibility of Shariah law taking hold in the United States. Islam is inherently aggressive, but its adherents know when to tread softly. "Make a game of it, dear... go ahead, try it on. Isn't it lovely?" Britain has felt that soft tread - responded to it - and now look at the results. In another few generations Islam's Shariah law may very likely replace and become British law. If their numbers continue to increase, they will eventually take over legally without firing a shot or removing a single head. All they'll have to do is vote.
