Current American Administration's Stance on Israel will be a Walk on the Dark Side for America

in response to reader comment: Will he walk the talk

Of the previous opinions expressed on whether the American administration will move forward on the position expressed by the Executive officer, is one that bears watching, for a number of reasons; a few are listed here.

First, and from a decidedly American citizen's point of view, is that the American administration does not have the complete support of the citizenry in making the demand that Israel cease 'settlement' activity. There are many that support Israel's rights to her sovereignty and autonomy within her complete borders, in spite of the intentions of the world community's desire to not only curtail Israel's natural development, but further to diminish and even eliminate the Jewish state's possession of its own land.

The 'Palestinian' cause of demanding that Israel deliver Israeli owned land for a 'Palestinian' state to become a thorn in Israel's side is reminiscent of the Biblical narrative of failing to maintain a national integrity in the face of outside influences bent on Israel's destruction. America took exception to outside influences when developing her 'manifest destiny'. Why should Israel be limited in the re-establishment of her sovereignty?

Next, and maybe more importantly, is that contrary to the establishment of Israel's right to exist, the current American administration is turning a corner in apparently adopting a position of Israel's enemies that could eventually lead to a global community pronouncement that places that existence into question if it interferes with the Arab community's demand for a 'Palestinian' state. It is no secret that the subliminal/covert intent, and overt demand of some of Israel's antagonists would be to eliminate the Jewish state altogether, in complete denial of the historical facts. This would be accomplished as a culmination of the lies spread about Israel's legitimacy to exist by her enemies continues to that end.

Further, but by no means the last or final reason, is the reality that the position perpetrated by the American administration's as postured in the Cairo speech, has more than a nominal chance to be cause for open hostilities if Israel is not cowed into acceding to the demands made of her. This is the 'wait and see' position being put forth by so many of Israel's antagonists. It is a political 'hudna'; that if Israel does not concede such things, then more than vocalizations of the rampant antipathies against her will be in the offing, and more than political posturing (PC talk, if you will) from the American administration will be necessary to bring about the 'peace' so many are searching for, but have no clue how to achieve.
