The road to Hell is paved with good intentions!Reader comment on item: A Rapid and Harsh Turn against Israel Submitted by Froike (United States), Jun 5, 2009 at 08:42 No, I didn't vote for the current President either. However, I believe in giving everyone a fair shake...so I assume a wait and see position. I am not a political analyst, nor am I a scholar of history. Here's my simple approach to what I garnered from President Obama's speech: I believe that the President has great hopes and good intentions. He extends a hand of peace to the Muslim World and asks for tolerance, concilliation, and mutual understanding. That's all well and good for "moderate" Muslims, but what about the Fundamentalists? Many have extended the Olive Branch to these savages...which was interpreted as weakness. In this sense, The President is "preaching to the choir". Regarding a "Two State Solution"- It's easy to predict what will happen when, and if, The Palestinians get their own country: Another hostile sovereign nation led by an Islamo Fascist Dictatorship that will oppress its own people and will not cease its hostility towards Israel. War will be inevitable! My hope is that President Obama has an Olive Branch in one hand and a big stick in the hand behind his back. Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time before that big stick sees some action. Let's pray that G-d protects us all.
