I question the wisdom of Obama's advisers.

Reader comment on item: A Rapid and Harsh Turn against Israel

The last few sentences of this article are what this tragedy is all about. I can't understand what does the president stand to gain from a weak Israel? I always thought that what is good for Israel is good for the US and vice versa. A weak Israel is a weak US in the middle east.

While being big and strong we don't have many friends in the world and Israel's friendship is important to us on many levels.I am puzzled and worried about Obama not seeing that a weak Israel is not a promise for peace but actually the opposite. It is possible that another war will break out when either Hamas or Hezbollah will decide to attack the weak Israel.

So what are we gaining from Obama using his mighty might to break down Bibi, to destroy his government and to try and make Israel vulnerable to attacks?

I question the wisdom of his advisers and I wonder about the Jewish advisers who either advise Obama to claw into Israel or sit idly by when this awful thing is taking place.
