Are these leaders nuts?Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Political Women Submitted by B.N.Gururaj (India), May 30, 2009 at 23:27 The photographs in this page are a big revelations. Frequently, we do see visiting dignitaries visiting Muslim countries trying to emulate their hosts by wearing their dresses. I thought, these were harmless past times, much like fancy dress. Now, if one sees the time line of these photographs, it would seem that the compulsion to wear Muslim dress is some kind of infection which affects western leaders. This practice seems to be prevailing for over 30 years, perhaps longer. Journalists interviewing fanatic leaders wear Hijab, so does the Queen Elizabeth II who visits a Mosque. Indeed Prince Charles looks rather funny in his long coat and fur cap, whatever be its proper name. It seems that non-muslims in muslim environment become hostages of Islamic practices. In India, I have seen this phenomenon. The greatest non-muslim admirers of Muslims and Islam are people who have been oppressed by Islam, such as the Sindhis (the first among Indians to be conquered by the Arabs), the Kashmiri Hindus (people who have been driven out of their homes by Kashmiri separatists), the Punjabis (whose state has seen the worst kind of muslim oppression and battles), and to a great extent, Bengalis, which has the highest Muslim population outside Kashmir. It seems that entire world is on the verge of becoming hostage of Islam, and suffers from Stockholm Syndrome!
