Mutual respect?

Reader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Public Women

Submitted by Bella (Indonesia), Apr 26, 2013 at 11:43

Today's 'Australian' newspaper contains a report that an increasing number of functions at the University of Melbourne denigrate women - for example by forcing 'sisters' to sit in the back rows while allowing 'brothers' to sit anywhere. This is a prime example of of the lack of mutual respect for our way of life by Islamic organizations.

It is despicable that we put up with it.

Three of the seven senior executives - said to be the leaders of the university - are female professors. If the women of the university will not band together against this nonsense, we'lll soon all be wearing hijabs not merely in Islamic countries but world wide.;...and we'll only have ourselves to blame.
