RespectReader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Political Women Submitted by Spike (Belgium), Dec 27, 2009 at 09:32 Dear Mr Pipes, I am an Atheist but when I enter a Church, I remove my hat, when I enter a Synagogue I cover my head. Why should it be different when you enter a mosque? It is (and only is) a question of respect. I do not like radical Islam but I do not like radical anti-Islam ! This is all extremism. Best Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Respect is one thing, wearing a hijab is another. Also, many of these women wore hijabs outside of mosques, in political situations. Comment on this item
