If you are a 17 year old, it's best to get facts correct. Rapes, honor killings, and various degrees of violence against women in all lands (and Pakistan} have been well tabulated. Coverings of the head or other parts has nothing to do with religion - it is more of a cultural thing but has become prevalent as a way of control and abuse. The greatest danger to the Muslim women is from the Muslim men themselves.
