response to my commentReader comment on item: Hijabs on Western Political Women Submitted by Raheel (United Kingdom), Jun 4, 2009 at 10:33 Wana- that is a bit of a frenzied rant in response to a few simple sentences from me!! I am Muslim born too & I don't want to live under sharia of the Islamic groups we have around too. And if i have a daughter & she wants to marry a non Muslim then I like to think i would accept that. And i don't want non Muslims to kiss the Koran! And i don't think the veil sits in well in western workplaces, schools, universities etc but i don't want to ban women from wearing it but i believe in some cases it is inappropriate- e.g id checks. You don't know who you were 'talking to' -over here in London I(where i was born & bred) i am a vocal opponent to the extremist views held by some mulims against women, non muslims, western culture etc. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
