A question for you Dr. Brandstetter...

Sorry to go off topic (although BHO is a factor in Israeli elections actually), but I wanted to hear your opinion about the current negotiations in Israel. I am hoping that Lieberman will join Likud and shut out Kadima (how ironic that Kadima turned from centrist to leftist and replaced Labour, very indicative of the way of the centrist in politics). If this happens, what downside, if any, do you see?

The only issue that bothers me right now is the hinting from Obama's handlers that if an 'extremist' govt. should form, it would make it impossible for BHO 'peace'talks' to bear fruit; i.e. BHO can blame the Israeli govt for his inevitable failure at moving the process.

Finally, although I prefer Bibi to anyone left of him, I am wary of the politics as usual and deal making that mar Israeli politics. Do you have any optimism?
