There are June 1967 armistice lines, to which I assume Dr. Pipes is referring. But why "June 1967 borders"? That is the terminology of Israel's enemies, as it gives those lines undeserved legitimacy and unnecessarily diminishes Israel's case. I am surprised that Dr. Pipes would use it.

Well, they happened to have been borders for nearly two decades at that point. Why pretend otherwise? And how is Israel harmed by refering to them in this fashion? The seems to be asking for undue delicacy.
