Jack Thackeray, you're basically saying the 'enemy' (radical Islam) doesn't pose a threat because it doesn't exist in large enough numbers to cause any real damage.

I for one entirely disagree for several reasons - not the least being the fanatical motivation to the point of suicide of these extremists.

You really can't compare these people to WW2 Nazi's except of course in their long term eugenics program. It's an open secret that they wish to out-breed Europeans in Europe - taking it over by force of numbers. Even in my country (Australia) a well-known Imam is on record as saying exactly this during one of his sermons (anti western diatribes).

The Nazi's were a military force , in uniform with definite military targets and were centred in one country. There were no schools or universities devoted to German National Socialism. Neither National Socialism did not concern itself with theological matters which have been shown throughout history to flame the fiercest of conflicts. Neither was National Socialism an absurd mish-mash of mythologies that Europeans found to be terribly retrograde.

Islamic extremism is an opportunistic guerrila force - not in any uniform and widespread - in many non-Islamic countries. It makes every effort to blend in with the local populace. Given enough adherents, funding from oil-rich fanatics and the single-minded determination brought about by tunnel vision induced by their interpretation of what 'Allah' wants - a very few people can create enormous damage. All it takes is a few sympathisers in government, technology labs etc to amplify the danger. As time goes by, more and more powerful , potentially destructive technology is available at an ever decreasing price.

It's easy being an armchair philosopher - totally removed from any contact with the virulence that we're talking about. I really think it would be helpful if Jack took a trip to a Pakistani madrassa for example - and watched kids from ages 5 and upwards learning the Koran by heart 10 hours a day and being indoctrinated to hate all infidels - especially Jews they've never, ever come into contact with.

In one way you could say that not having minds that hate leaves us at a distinct disadvantage. We have no
real sense of the danger that exists from those who have.
