in response to reader comment: well, thx but forget your viewpoint.

There´s a wide range in attitudes of what you call "conservatives," just as there is in what people call liberals. (I´m not sure what you mean by "neogressophobia," maybe that´s a word you´ve made up yopurself and needs more explaing.) But generally, conservatives are not "neo-cons," (not that so-called neo-cons have bad ideas or views of the world), but "traditionalists." We believe there are a set of values and beliefs that are traditional to our people and have made our country and our people great in many ways and veering away from those does not help us. We generally believe in smaller government that stays out of our lives. Obama obviously doesn´t believe that.

We believe that we deserve to keep the great bulk of ther money we work for and earn off our own sweat and efforts but are happy to pay for the necessary things government needs to run its business and provide for the things we do need: defense, roads, bridges, paying the saleries of necessary personnel in government, schools, and the like. Obama obviouisly needs more of our money to do the things he wants to do making government enormously larger than conservatives want or think is necessary, making government all powerful and the American people totally dependent on it. (Bush, conservatives readliy admit, expanded govt more than we liked.) Conservatives generally believe in certain social and constitutional issues that are at odds with Obama and his idol worshippors:

The 1st Amendment (watch America´s reation when the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" is pushed by the Dems), the 2nd Amendment, that an embryo is a human being and abortion on demand and as a form of birth control without threat to life of the mother is wrong. Many of us believe in God and that taking God out of all equations in public life sends us down a slippery slope, especially when secularists ideas are pushed without the believers´ right to offer up opposing views, such as Intelligent Design in the classroom.

And conservatives are smart and informed enough to know that Jihad against the West has little to do with us being in Iraq or Afganistan; we weren´t there in in the 80s when violent terrorism against us began, or in 93 with the WTC attack, or 98 when two of our embassys in Africa were attacked, or in 2000 when the USS Cole was attacked, or during 9/11. We believe what bin Laden himself, Chaudry, Zawahiri, and all ther other radical Islamists have flat out told us and preach to their followers: America is the Great Satan whose sinful ways are encroaching into the Islamic world through TV and reading materal and through our music and business and social relationships with the Islamic world. We are a culture that promotes free sex, prostitution, divorce, women´s rights, women in politics, people going into public in bikinis and kissing, porn, abortion, cheating on spouses and pushing all of this in Hollywood movies that flood the black market in the Islamic world...rap music and cussing and gangster stuff getting into the ears of young Muslims by the millions...taking God out of our culture and being "a Godless society." The list goes on. We are, in their minds, the enemies of Allah. We know they believe our freedoms need to be subjigated and our so-called "Godless" values and ways brought to an end for the sake of Allah and the world. They have told us so. They preach it every day in mosques throughout the world. Liberals believe, for the most part, it´s all Bush and Cheney´s fault and now that Obama is our president there´s the chance that the Islamists will now lighten up on us because electing Obama somehow validated their beef with us. Idiotic.

As far as many people´s distaste for Obama himself as an individual, we have a man who claims to be bi-partisan but has shown himself to be totally partisan. He has acted un-Presidential in mocking and chiding Republicans who simply want a voice in the process and the cahnce to actually slow dopwn enough to read and see what is in the stimulus bill, and by actually teling Republicans not to listen to a talk show host with 20 million daily listerners who disagrees with Obama´s views. And who knows what is in that stimulus bill? We know some things, like ACORN, a crooked pro-Obama outfit, is going to rake in millions as a payoff for putting so many uninformed voters on the rolls for Obama for the price of a coffee and Egg MacMuffin. We know that the districts of dozens of democrats are getting special interest earmarks totalling literally into the billions. The final draft comes out at midnight and Obama and the Dems are pushing to pass it the next day. Why is that? Would you sign a contract you haven´t read and don´t know the details of? Obama expects ther Republicans do do that, and like lemming idiots, the Dems ARE doing it. Yet he´s trying to convince the American people that the Republicans are playing partisan politics and holding up "relief" for the American people? Informed and intelligent Americans are on to his stupid game. For his idol worhippers, there´s nothing he can ebver do that will be wrong; they´ll follow him off the edge of a cliff like a bunch of lemmings. So this is the "transparency" Obama promised? He chose as the first things to do as president: Nominate Leon Panetta as head of the CIA; a man with no experience in intelligence and who anyone knows from his past statements and views will only make our intelligence networks weakeer. He stops prosecution of the USS Cole terrorists and the heartbreak of the victims´families. He gives a live midnight interview behind the backs of Americans to Al-Arabias TV literally apologizing to the Muslim world for our past behavior. He signals Iranian leadeership that he´s open to "direct talks." His first days in office were a virtual gift parade to the Islamists of the owrld who see his weakness and now know America is more vulnarable than ever before to their ideology and to terrorism.

Conservatives have their beliefs and values that are legitimate whether you agree with them or not. We have very valid reasons for being very wary of Barak Obama.

Sorry for the long post, but thanks for your time.
