in response to reader comment: Muslims would never accept Peace

Submitted by Abdullah Al Hashimi (United Arab Emirates), Mar 3, 2009 at 03:54

Jurist Benedictos Mohamad Ali wrote "As a specailist in anti Imams Islamic ideology which they created in the name of God , 80% of muslim nation would never accept any permanent peace not onloy with Israel but also with all christians countries"

1. What qualifies you to be a "specialist" in anti Imams Islamic ideology? 2. What exactly is "Anti Imams Islamic ideology? I've never heard of such a field of study. 3. Entertaining the comedic illusion that such a field exists in some institution on earth, can you sum up the ideology of Islamic Imams so that we may also reach the conclusion you have reached. 4. Can you provide a link or URL to the location in which you were able to find this information? I refer to the 80% of muslim nation never accepting any permanent peace not "onloy" with Israel but also all "christians" countries.

Jurist Benedictos Mohamad Ali also wrote "In addition I would like to assert that any muslim believe that the holy land is an islamic land taken by Israel , then he is not a peace man even if he said that he wants such peace" To this, I would assert that the United Nations, and the International court, as well as the international community also see Palestine as a land taken from the Arabs and given to the Zionists to establish the state of Israel.

To disclaim this you would have to refute World War 2, the Balfoure declaration, the 1948 war, the 1952 war, the 1967 war, the 1973 war, the first and second Intifida. You would also have to refute the holocaust and the past 100 years of history.

Furthermore, you are pretty much saying the nations of Europe and the United States did nothing for the Israelis, when history says they did in fact grant Israel many favors, one of which was accepting it's declaration in 1948. A declaration that accepted on the grounds that the Jewish people of Europe had suffered great atrocities and needed their own state so that it would never happen again.

Now to your claim that the Muslim world does not want peace, and that they do not believe in keeping a long term peace. First of all, because the Muslim world recognizes the many crimes committed against the Palestinian people does not also auto-imply they do not believe in peace. Do we now have to lie about history and the events that took place in the last century to reach an agreement of peace? That will never happen. Not because Arabs won't accept it, although they won't, but because in our day and age, history can not be re-written.

Furthermore, history serves as a tutor. If the history of Hitler was erased, it would be a great injustice to all his victims. Just as erasing the way in which the state of Israel has committed war crimes on the Palestinian people should not be erased. We will not allow it to be erased, for history is the right and inheritance of all people. No person, nation or government has the right to hide or fabricate history. Was it not fabricated history that was used by the Nazi machine to kill millions of innocent Jews? Of all people, Israelis should be the ones seeking peace most. It is not in their favor to test history further by continuing their oppression of a weak and battered people, as the pure demographics of the region as well as the developments of its neighbors will soon lead to it being overshadowed in all aspects social, economical, political and military. Long live peace, and a world where we choose to speak to one another, regardless of our ethnic backgrounds and faiths. Respect each other, and you might learn to love another, but no good can come from such unsubstantiated claims based on nothing more than stereotypes and misguided insecurities.
