in response to reader comment: Obama, the Middle East and Islam - An Initial Assessment

Yes Prof. Paul,

Just like Pres. Bush "proclaiming" on national tele. that islam was a religion of "peace" I see no difference in Pres. Obama recognizing islam as a "religion". Can you imagine the debacle and spin that would result from a president proclaiming that islam was a religion from hell? Thats best left to the comment section reserved in sites like this to expound. We do not have the luxury under our "freedom" to expound against religions and suspected infidels like countries ruled by islam like the middle east. There it is polticalyy correct to bash and kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and anyone who is not islamic.

It is our deference to be politically correct in addressing islam that is to our undoing. Spinning our wheels seeking to diminish our leaders and thier statements to favor a party serves no purpose other than to further polarize issues and political parties. End result? Stalemate.

The truth be know, in islam, Pres. Obama is hated more than an infidel, he is murtad. Once a muslim, now a Christian. He is not loved by the muslim masses as many would believe. Thanks for the comparison of islam versus our Christian foundation of the Declaration of Independence. peace..
