Britain has been brilliant in fighting in Iraq and British soldiers are the best. Well, the Americans are also good, but this is off-topic. The issue here is what Britain intends to do with its large Muslim community. Ask them to integrate? Ask them to attend British schools? Don't ask them anything at all? Of course, I support those who fight against oppression in Sudan and Indonesia. But, let me repeat myself, our first priority is to look at our own back-yard. In Italy, Islamic schools are now being allowed to exist. Are you happy with having Islamic schools in your country? What about the veil? What about Muslim immigration? And Turkey in the European Union? These are the issues that each European should address. If we cannot look after our own borders, if we allow women to wear the Muslim veil, if we let Turkey join the European Union, then there is absolutely no point in going into Iran or Iraq or East Timor. We cannot bring democracy to Iran while we are losing our own European heritage.
