Reader comment on item: Decision Time on Iran

Submitted by Jackdaw (United States), Nov 1, 2006 at 08:06

You have provided a badly needed service by filtering the muddied waters swirling around the Iranian vortex. The hour is late and the stakes have never been higher for America and for the world. A post-nuclear Iran is a world of pure terror for everyone every day. No person or nation will ever again, in the foreseeable future world, be able to make long term decisions about anything. It will be chaos and terror daily.

If the U.S. summons the will to prevent Iran from nuclear armament, there will also be significant ancillary benefits in Iraq. The funding, equiping, and training of Iraqi militias by Iran could and in, my opinion, would dry up. The insurgency in Iraq could be eliminated if Iran is taken out of the calculus.
