Yes, President Bush only has a couple of cards to play, but as long as he plays them well, things will turn out for the better for those who are behind the liberty expansion effort.

Iran has weak points. Take a look at its imports. As long as they are halted from reaching Iran, that helps. But, as long as a caste system is viewed to be okay, with those backing the liberty expansion effort being second class citizens at best - then the West weakens its point. The goal is not to dissuade the Allah Akhbar crowd from seeing the status quo (I am quite skeptical of there being a majority of Muslims who see where they are coming from as holding them back) - but rather, a settling of scores so that they know they cannot get away with satisfying their bloodlust.
