All countries should unite to fight the threat of Islamofascism. As you so correctly pointed out, that is not happening. Some countries think they can still either appease or strike some kind of agreement with these folks. In our backyard (the US) we have governments like Hugo Chavez aiding Islamists. Islamists are also converting in Latin America. It is like a global chess game; although, one with incredibly high stakes.

As long as these countries think they can get by with striking deals and not having to directly confront radical Islam, they will continue to do so. Also, as long as we are all divided as to how to handle this problem, the Islamists will benefit from our division.
