Reader comment on item: Decision Time on Iran

Submitted by dfwhite (United States), Oct 31, 2006 at 16:08

Look, we all know whats coming, so lets get it on and over with ......Any more threats coming from the lunatic in Iran or the diminutive one in N. Korea against us or our allies and they should be dealt with in a severe manner. The UN can embargo them until hell freezes over and it ain't going to do a damn bit of good, why ? Because just like prohibition, when you're thirsty enough you will do anything to get what you want. ...As a matter of fact the UN is about as useless as a --- on a bull. they know it we know it, so why is it still taking up valuable space in New York is beyond my comprehension.

We the United States of America carry a big stick, but are afraid of wielding it because our leaders are afraid of collateral damage or offending people !! That thinking had better come to a stop or it will be us the people who will suffer the consequences. You think our enemies care anything about collateral damage? 9/11 tells me the don't. As a matter of fact, the more collateral damage they can cause us the happier they will be. Washington had better put bipartisanship on the shelf and get this nightmare over with. if they don't, maybe waking up in the morning won't be such a good thing to do.....The sooner the better.....
