What is the real power of Retaliation of Israel?

Reader comment on item: Decision Time on Iran

How come China and Russia keep helping Iran while an iranian attack will trigger a nuclear retaliation which might cause economic chaos for China (due to the destruction of Oil supplies) and a massive influx of refugees in Southern Russia?

The only reasons I can Imagine are:

-Both Russian and Chinese intelligences know that Iran is far from getting the bomb and we are all too much worrying

-Both Russian and Chinese intelligences know that Israel's real power of Retaliation is limited

If the second reason is the right one as I think, well our best chance to contain the Iranian nuclear threat (or the Pakistanese or any islamic regime) would be to rapidly FULL equip Israel for MAD (mutual armed destruction) in order for the Russians and Chinese to be frightened enough to make every pressure possible on the Iranians to get rid of Ahmadinejad and forget about the Atomic bomb.

There are big obstacles to my suggestions:

-Legal constraints in USA and elsewhere to share technologies...but it has been done before when the "Raison d'├ętat" required it

- USA (and Europe even more) might be as afraid as the Chinese to lose their oil supplies if Israel retaliates

Still, since Americans are too tired (because of Irak) and Europeans are too weak , divided and threatened by their own muslim minorities, changing Israel into a doomsday bomb for the Muslim world (and the world economy) is our best chance since the inhabitants of this ltiny country would face annihilation with one or maximum 2 nuclear bombs and therefore they have nothing to lose by preparing for a FULL RETALIATION.

Despite all the diplomatic, constitutional or political risk such a suggestion implies, it is still much less risky than starting an invasion of Iran (while Irak is already becoming a new Vietnam) therefore, I don't think George W. Bush has much to lose if he wants to leave his country more secure at the end of his presidency...
