Steve, for the record, I am a man, and a grandfather. My moniker is the Aramaic form of the name which Jesus gave to Simon bar Jonah in John 1:42.

And now you may know why some people I know who use Arabic as a 2d language are among the most stubbornly non-Muslim people you will ever meet.

And I won't quibble with you when you say that Mrs. Clinton is probably being cheated by Muslim interlocutors. The Libyan monkey business shows that. But, as for trusting what a Muslim might say--

It has been a shock to some people close to me that, at least in the West, many Muslims have become Christians, including some from the Arabian Peninsula and Afghanistan. After all, we were raised to think of Muslim hearts as shut, bolted, hardened, and all but the very seat of Satan himself.. But I doubt that people like the Caner brothers, Canon Sookhdeo, Bp. Nazir-Ali, Nonie Darwish, Nabeel Qureshi, and others became Christians because they learned English.
