Reader comment on item: Arabist Snobs

About two years before i became a subject of interest to the FBI ..., an Arabist snob in a put down effort recited the opening Sura of the Koran in Arabic to me. Following his failure to impress, i inquired if he knew what it meant. He then repeated it in English. I responded that i did not ask for an English translation but if he knew the meaning intended, i.e. the anti-Jewish and anti-Christian implications. A few months later, in Israel, he more clearly showed his hand when he denigrated my analysis because it was influenced by Bernard Lewis "who is a Jew." Little did i know that he soon thereafter reported me as a security risk who may have given documents to Israel. This anti-semite was the highest ranking Mideast analyst in DIA
