In Bad Need Indeed!Reader comment on item: Not Stealing Palestine but Purchasing Israel Submitted by Moshe (Israel), Jul 9, 2011 at 15:58 My dear! What a concentrated dose of ... Arab propaganda?!!! And of plain IGNORANCE? Are you aware dear Sarah that it is very hard to find anything valid among all your biased statements? Where and when have Jews taken by force any JEWISH land? And please note that here we are talking only about JEWISH land. Or perhaps you didn't know that the LAND OF ISRAEL is Jewish land? So just for your kind information, no Jewish land was taken by force from the Arabs till they attacked the Jewish Settlement of Palestine after rejecting the UN partition resolution of 1947. Till then there were NO Arab refugees (in contrast with millions of Jewish refugees) and NO "occupied territories". There was only plain Jewish presence and aspiration for a Jewish State on virtually any Jewish territory. But that was also too much for the "peaceful" Arabs and in 1948 all the surrounding Arab countries concertedly attacked the newly born Jewish state with the objective of wiping out any Jewish presence in the area, or in their words "pushing the Jews into the sea". The Arab idea was very simple: wiping out the small Jewish population from Palestine will be the easiest job in the world, and thus there was no reasonable justification for them to put up with the "unfaithful" Jewish presence. The only thing which went wrong for these "peaceful" Arabs was that in spite of all odds and expectations they lost that war, and all the subsequent wars (1956, 1967, 1973) initiated by them with the declared objective of wiping out the Jewish State. BTW, again just for your kind information, this objective of wiping out the Jewish State is valid today, just as it was then. But well, who am I to tell YOU about this. No doubt YOU know this better than I do. You ask: "If Spain slowly began to forcefully take over parts of neighbouring France, would the French not try to defend their homes and their land?" Well my dearest: if, and when, France will attack Spain in order to take it over and push the Spaniards into the Atlantic, and the Spaniards will defeat the French, NOBODY will object if the Spaniards decide for their own safety to take over some buffer zones over the Pyrenees.
