Reader comment on item: Not Stealing Palestine but Purchasing Israel
in response to reader comment: "when Messiah comes"

Submitted by Dean M. (United States), Jun 25, 2011 at 01:43

I did not say Messiah is not coming. He has not come because the prophecies are not fulfilled. And I didn't say I was a Hasid either. I am not. I said Orthodox. The Orthodox teaching makes the modern State of Israel problematic for us.

As for Jewish observance, the problem is not lack of observance for modern Jews. It is support for outright violation of the moral laws of the Torah, such as wanting to make Tel Aviv the "Gay captitol of the world" because of its night life and supporting a Gay Pride parade down the streets of the Holy City. New York just passed a law authorizing an oxymoron, "same-sex marriage." But Reform and Conservative Judaism both do already. New York is just catching up. It is a sin for which the Holy Land will vomit us out according to Vayikra 18.

And Moses did not redeem Israel from Egyptian bondage. The Holy One did.
