Your grasp of history is incredible, Daniel. Those statistics on Jerusalem are telling...

I remember that Alan Dershowitz in "The Case for Israel" said that up to 75% of land that now makes up the state of Israel was purchased from absentee landowners who were more than happy to sell. That you bring up that most fled in 1948 seems to be of paramount importance. And lest we not forget, Arab "Palestinians" were given their own state in '48 as well.

The underlying issues isn't "occupation" or the building of Israeli settlements, or checkpoints, yada yada, Really It shouldn't be shocking to anyone who understands the Islamic imperative to jihad that the cause is sold to Palestinian children the way it is. It is disheartening, however.
