Sarai, how generous you are!

Reader comment on item: Not Stealing Palestine but Purchasing Israel
in response to reader comment: Give the Jews back everything then!

Dear Sarai,

It is indeed very kind of you to offer the Jews "everything", including almost all the European and Arab/Muslim states. However, I beg to bring to your kind attention that since the Jewish people were robbed by force of their homeland, The Land of Israel, and forced into exile, they had no other choice but to live somewhere. Thus the "lucky" ones, who escaped murder, or bondage and slavery, had to settle in those European and Middle Eastern countries where their fate led them to.

But you must not forget that with very few exceptions the Jews never considered their new host countries as their permanent homes: THEY ALWAYS ASPIRED AND PRAYED TO RETURN TO THEIR ONLY AND ETERNAL HOMELAND. The exceptions to this general truth started only in the 19th century Europe when the emancipation reached also many Jewish communities, mainly in western and central Europe. In that period a new kind of European Jew emerged, who was considering himself a committed and loyal son of the host nation. Thus most German and French Jews at the end of 19th century and beginning of the 20th, considered themselves Germans and French nationals of Jewish religion, in spite of the rabid anti-Semitism which was engulfing them. Finally the lessons administered to them in the course of the Holocaust, taught them eventually where they truly belong.

So dear Sarai, please, don't be so generous, you don't have to: ALL THE JEWS ARE ASKING IS TO BE LEFT IN PEACE IN THEIR TINY HOMELAND.

Is that too much for you????
