Aryan myth-- politics, not science

Dear Mr. Pipes:

I am disappointed that scholar of your stature should give credence to the scientifically discredited and historically disgraced Aryan myth and the Aryan invasion. As far back as 1939 Sir Julian Huxley, one of the great biologists of the 20th century dismissed it as unscientific and pointed out that it was sustained by "able literary and political propagandists." Today, genetics has demolished it. The version of Aryan myth you seem to be holding on to is the mutatated version concocted by academics and political propagandists when Nazis brought the racist version into discredit. It is incorrect to say that it is 'widely accepted', it is widely propagated by vested academics concerned for their position. Please see ARYAN IDOLS by Stefan Arvidsson (U of Chicago Press) for a modern European critique of this grotesque theory.
