True name of the so called Palestinians

I have read a lot of the History of the Jewish people, visited the Country on 2 occasions, my understanding from talking to an Hebrew Gentleman, that the Name Palestinian, was derived way back when the Romans expelled the Jews from the Country. The name Palestinians was also derived from the name called Philistine as the Romans could not pronounce Palestinians, I am fairly sure that I am right
