Moses did not redeem

Reader comment on item: Not Stealing Palestine but Purchasing Israel
in response to reader comment: Redemption of Israel

Submitted by Moshe (Israel), Jun 26, 2011 at 04:39

So dear Dean M. you are telling me "Moses did not redeem Israel from Egyptian bondage. The Holy One did." Agreed! I cannot argue with such a profound statement.

But you also cannot deny that our present redemption which is unfolding in front of our wondering eyes is also the work of The Holy One. The Messiah you are recommending us to wait for is mentioned nowhere in the Holy Scriptures. At best it is based on some oral traditions, and well, on Christian and Muslim dogmas. On the other hand the regathering of the Jewish Diaspora in the Holy Land and its redemption, and the wonderful rebirth of the Jewish Nation is to be found in the prophecies of almost all of the true Prophets.
