Reader comment on item: Is Prince Charles a Convert to Islam?

Dr. Pipes

The King of Jordan met with Prince Charles and urged him to speak up for the plight of the Christians of the Middle East and to urge them not to leave their homelands and here is an example of his efforts to help these communities

To most moderate Muslims in places like Egypt an Egypt without Copts is not the real Egypt and to many Lebanese and Syrians Lebanon or Syria without Christians would not be the same

Even the King of Saudi Arabia and his ambassador in Egypt who stays in touch with the Coptic Pope were very supportive during the attack on the Coptic catherdral in the spring of 2013. It seems that the ambassador made it very clear that the Saudis had no like for Morsi or the MB and he urged the Pope to tell his followers not to leave Egypt and most significant the ambassador told the Pope that the king has no difficulty with a Coptic church being built in SA

Would we see a Coptic church in SA in the not very distant future? I still doubt it very much but the message is loud and clear: Moderate Muslims regard the very ancient Christian communities as an important part of the Middle East
