YOU CANNOT BE BOTH

Reader comment on item: Is Prince Charles a Convert to Islam?
in response to reader comment: WHATS WRONG WITH HIM BEING MUSLIM?

Submitted by FREE DEBATER (United Kingdom), Oct 10, 2010 at 06:38

As the monarch of England (when / if he acends the throne) Charles will be the head of the Church of England - the Anglican Church. The Christian Creed declares that (we) believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, redeemer / saviour of this world (crucified, died and resurrected). Therefore, by definition, Charles cannot be an adherant (indeed head ...) of the Anglican church AND a muslim. It is absolutely impossible to be both. Why? Because muslims accept Jesus (Isa) to be only a prophet (of Allah) in the grand scheme of things, the one who came (as only a a prophet) after Adam, Abraham and Moses and before Mohammed. They believe that - approx 550 years after the crucifixion of Jesus - Mohammed had revelations made to him by Allah (via the Angel Gabriel) and that this (the Qu'ran) is the final revelation (from Allah) to mankind. They don't believe God (Allah) has a 'son' (in fact they consider the idea quite offensive and wrong) and they don't believe Jesus was crucified. These two muslim beliefs, being in total contradiction to what Christians believe, make it TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE to be a Christian (belong to the Christian church and believe & profess the Christian Creed) AND a muslim. Even Prince Charles cannot accomplish that !
