You obviously do not know your history of the Royal Family...That's for sure..

Charles Great Uncle, Edward, did no such thing...He was a batchelor Prince when he met the American Divorcee, Mrs Wallis Simpson (She was divorced from her first husband and still married to a Mr Simpson)

Edward fell madly in love with her and was seen out in the open, getting around with her and staying with him...When his Father died (George V) He became King (Edward V111)..Mrs Simpson then filed for divorce from her husband to marry the King..The UK and other commonwealth Countries objected to their King marrying a twice divorced women...He was forced to either give up Mrs Simpson or Abdicate the throne...He Abdicated in December 1936.....
