Non-muslims often do the biggest favor to Islam

in response to reader comment: Prince Charles a muslim ?

Dear Readers:

This article serves no useful purpose. Some in Islam follow the "once a muslim, always a muslim" dictum. But non-muslims do not have to follow this dictum at all. On the one hand, we are trying so hard to convince everyone that Prince Charles is a convert to Islam just because he said a few things in praise of Islam.

Then we provide evidence that Princess Diana was ready to convert to Islam because she had a muslim boyfriend. On the other hand, we try so hard to convince ourselves that Barack Obama is a muslim. Let us analyze this a liitle further. Like so many divorced people, Diana was going through a turbulent time. She might also have been interested in tormenting her husband and the royal family by befreinding muslim men. Why are we so eager to certify her as a muslim? She never said it herself.

On the flip side of the argument, Obama has declared himself to be a Christian. His mother was a Christian. She married two Muslim men at different times but she never declared herself to be a muslim. Then Obama grew up with his grand parents. His muslim father abandoned him. For some good reason his mother decided that it was better for him to grow up in Hawaii than in Indonesia. Obama married a Christian woman. Why are we then so eager to certify that he is a muslim?

In actuality, it is the rest of the world (non-muslim) who follows the "once a muslim, always a muslim" dictum to the core. No one is a muslim unless s/he says so and says so repeatedly. And even if someone turns a muslim out of love, convenience, conviction, I see no reason why we should not try to win them back.
