Obama-Odinga genocide ties

Reader comment on item: Obama Would Fail Security Clearance

Submitted by JP (United States), Oct 25, 2008 at 20:59

Even worse than all this is the fact that in 2006 (documented by news network ITN and on CNN). Obama went to Kenya and made public appearances at presidential campaign rallies with his fellow Luo and cousin, Raila Odinga.

Obama went on to make statements critical of the existing government. When the election resulted in Odinga losing by more than 200,000 votes, members of his Orange Democratic Party started burning churches and other areas, in at least one case burning a church with people still inside. At least a thousand Kenyans died and thousands were made homeless; Odinga is said to have signed a memorandum of understanding with a major Islamic organization stating that he would institute Sharia law to address 'grievances' of Muslims.

Regardless, doesn't Obama's attempt to directly influence the election of another nation constitute a violation of the Logan Act?
