Don't confuse me with the facts

Reader comment on item: Obama Would Fail Security Clearance

Submitted by David Goshen (Israel), Oct 23, 2008 at 12:46

It is very sad that the American Public at large cannot for some reason face these facts. There appears to be a a hysteria amongst vociferous Obama Supporters that disregard any constructive facts & arguments as the work of extreme right wing tactics to discredit Obama.I am constantly being told that anything of this nature is untrue or cannot be true.

All this is most unnerving as it is an example of mass brain washing which occurred at the beginning of the last century in an European country whose name I would prefer not to mention. We have another example in this century with Islam which permits no questions ..

Memories in many countries are terribly short. No one seems to remember that the President who stated the sub prime mortgage crisis was President Jimmy Carter who stated bringing pressure to relax accepted traditionally accepted & sound economic practices when granting morgages. He was followed by Bill Clinton who futher waived the rules. Some how the Republican Presidents are being blamed for the crisis because it fits the present mind set which is 'change at any price'!

Obama might win the election but can he win the economic & political & religious wars which are enveloping the world?
