Its hard to be objective

Reader comment on item: Q&A: Remaking a Religion
in response to reader comment: no comparison

If you begin with a set conclusion that Islam is 7th Century cult - you are not going to come to fair conclusion about a comparison. You already biased to that extent. Islamic Jurisprudece is highly sophisticated. Now you do not have to believe in it - that is different. But it is - there are many distinguished Western scholars who do study it and have respect for it even if they do not believe in it.

But brain-washed psuedo and lot of time self declared scholars just by pass and white wash over the subject without bothering to study it.

It is very easy to begin with a conclusion and then find an evidence to prove it. You could do that about anything. Even for a flat earth.

Dr Pipes is NOT a scholar of jurisprudence ad has never claimed it to be either - I dont think. If some is going to write about the subject at least try being fair - difficult as it is for everyone to be truly objective.

You're taking on a didactic tone there- but I'll let you in on something - there's no need to do so when stating the obvious. It makes you look conceited and clownish.

This I find plain bizzare - try laying off the pesonal insult. You seem allright besides it.
