If you are going to write about a subject on expects you to understand. That is not Durie.

His stand point was negative from start and he found reasonings to confirm his beliefs. There are many books like that. Say if you believe in flat earth - you can find evidence to support your argument.

Jurisprudence i a difficult subject. But there are many highly gifted Western scholars who study, teach and write about the subject. Sure - even Muslims become scholars after learning from some. Durie is NOT a jurisprudence scholar.

That is the point.

My experience will suggest that you will have a hard time doing this honestly, thoroughly or sysemtatically, just because your attitude is dismissive. That wont get you very far in thoughtful circles outside of your own fellow Muslim friends.

Try not to preach what you don't practice. Not very fetching. if you are so against er belittling and prejudice - why do it to me :-)
