l... if the Muslims see Islam as a peaceful belief system. It is the non Muslims you have to worry about, because they do not see Islam as a religion of peace. The terroristic bent of Islam is simply being acted out by those who are true believers. I was not present when the glories of Islam and the learned and tolerent found meaning and sustance within Islam, I doubt if such conditions ever existed,and even if they did, it was an eposodic event and by no means regular to Islam.

The equality of females within the construct of Islam has not changed.In those societies where islam is unmitigated , females face a horrible existence of perpetual house arrest, brutality,subjugation and physical abuse. Muhammed says its ok, in fact he encouraged it. Islam has never, is not now and will never be a peaceful social construct. It's reliance on the sword and forced conversion or death or enslavement is something we cannot live with as free peoples, its elimination is the best outcome.
