Reader comment on item: "Islam" Does Not Mean "Peace"

I want to make something "VERY CLEAR" to you. "NOBODY" and "I DO MEAN NOBODY", "NOT I NOR THE LADY ANGELA " is trying to SELL"ANYTHING TO ANYBODY". What we are trying to do is to establish some level of reason in this dialogue. Something which so far has seemed to be lacking.

I do not hate a man because he is an Arab or because he is a Muslim. I hate a man because he is a liar and a murderer and there is a very real distinction between the two. I know from personal experience that not all Muslims are either liars or murderers and I will not paint every man or woman who is a Muslim with that same brush.

Every religion that exists in the world today began in conflict. This holds true for Christianity and Judaism as well as Buddhism and also Hinduism. There was a time in the history of this world when humanity was embroiled in constant warfare within itself. Tribal conflicts and wars between alliances of various tribes and clans are part of the history of all of us. This circumstance of constant conflict naturally bread men and women who wanted to find a way to put an end to it so they could live in peace. Those with minds who were the natural leaders of the various peoples and clans decided amongst themselves to formulate a pact which would become the law throughout all the lands and whereever men should go. It was within this compact that all of what we today call religion was born.

It was through this medium of religion that the law was passed down from generation to generation before the time of the written word. When men began to write and to record their thoughts in stone and on paper much of what had been previously conveyed through ritual became recorded in the written word and so evolved the Holy Books of the various peoples, each written in the language of that people. Over time and great distances people lost contact with each other and so each people went its own seperate way in the world but the law that was given to them remained as part of their memory and each people found a way to express it for themselves.

Now is a time of ingathering. It is the time for all men and women to come together in a reafirmation of their humanity and for them again to become ONE upon the face of the earth. This is not a denial of the uniqueness of the individual as some might fear. It is a celebration of the human experience

Each one of us has a story to tell and no story is greater than another for we are all living beings each with a unique experience and perspective. So let us put off with our arguing and insulting of one another. There is no legitimate reason for any of this petty bickering and it should stop.

Which would you prefer, a community of peace or a discommunity of pieces? Armageddon can be yours if you want it. LIfe is a matter of choices. Choose wisely and live well. Choose unwisely and your life will be hell.
