Yeah, I'm not surprised you have to ask that question...

Reader comment on item: "Islam" Does Not Mean "Peace"
in response to reader comment: What topic?

I'm not "pontificating" any more than anyone else is who writes their personal opinions on this blog. Certainly no more than you.

I never said you criticized me for a typographical or minor error.

I said you point them out instead of making rationale comments relative to the issues being discussed in many of your postings. I consider that trivial and tangential. Probablya lame attempt at intentional misdirection.

Can you read English? Apparently not very well. So far you haven't understood anything I've said.

I think it's your credibility that's on the line here.

You have said that "salam" means "peace" and that's from the S-L-M construction .

The word Islam also has a quite obvious S-L-M construction for those of us who recognize letters.

This close relationship in word construction is used to create what they consider a meaningful religious metaphor.

This isn't rocket science. And I didn't make it up. It's a widely accepted translation among EDUCATED Muslims.

I don't need to be a Muslim to speak about this, I gather that you are not one either.

And apparently my Arabic is as good as your English.

Maybe better.
