Is it really important what the Islamists have in mind?

Reader comment on item: "Islam" Does Not Mean "Peace"
in response to reader comment: Well said but this is not what Islamists have in mind

What about what the rest of the world has in mind? I can picture a world where people live together in peace and mutual respect for all cultures and religious view points. I don't expect any one to convert to my relgion because my religion is unique to me and my cultural experience and unless a person grows up in my culture they are not going to understand the peculiarities of my point of view no matter how long they might study and learn my language. They would always be outsiders to the experience so their views would always be some what distorted and no amount of scholarly explanations would change that fact.

I can see that demonstrated every day in the many names that various peoples have given us through out the ages. That and the fact that some people still regard us with some sort of superstitious awe which I regard as totally foolish. I often don't know who they are more afraid of, the Jews or my folk as they sometimes lump us in the same bag together as targets of their wrath and superstitious fear.

You can't take a peoples culture and way of life and throw it in a box labeled as an "ITY" or an "ISM" and think you understand it because you don't and that's simply it. Such classification and labeling is just a way of casually dismissing it with out really understanding it. You can't really percieve or understand the internal dynamics of the culture and its people and what made them what they are as a people. This is the Islamists biggest mistake. Muttering a few majic words and throwing on some holy water is not going to make a person something he or she is not to begin with. Converting from one religion to another is no more than putting on a different suit of clothes. It's the same person just dressed differently. If a person is a danger to Islam before he or she is "Converted" they will be twice the danger to Islam afterward. There's nothing like setting a fox loose in a chicken coop to make life interesting. The Romans learned that lesson very well with my folk.

The Jihadis represent a very juvenile stage of spiritual developement. They are like spoiled children, always wanting to have their own way. All it takes as a stern "NO" to set them back on their horses and make them behave. They will keep on acting as they do only so long as they think they can get away with it.
