Hello I must say that I am a bit troubled by the presence of immigrants from Islamic dominated countries who come here but do not assimilate themselves into our culture . They remain first and foremost exactly whom they have always been. Practising their beliefs which are a slap in the face of our culture and historical Judeo-Christian traditions. Yes, I know this country has made its fair share of mistakes, but when all things are considered ,including the the big issues that seem to be brought up like slavery, civil-rights and the treatment of Native-Americans; Lets take every fact of the past and really see how all things fit together . As a born-again Christian I hold no personal hatred towards anyone nor nationality. That does not cancel out the truth and justice and my conscvience with common sense, which the creator God Jesus Christ has so wonderfully and graecfully lived and given to 'ALL' -his Word the Bible..
As a sovereign , peace loving , charitable nation we should, must protect our national and personal welfare and that includes dealing with immigration from our southern neighbors and peoples that live and practice a religion that is fundamentally hostile to our very core of beliefs and our very existence, Islam. No matter how you read it, twist it, label it , Islam is and has been a source of death and enslavement .
In the late 1700's and early 1800's America dealt with, as they were called then, 'The Barbary States' in the 'Tripolitan War' of 1801-1805 We were paying bribe payments to the Pasha of Tripolitania, Yusuf Karamanli year after year to keep them from piracy. They were a major problem for our merchant shipping.
Well as we pretty much had enough of this, we sent Naval ships and one ran aground and was destroyerd and its crew captured..The Captain and his crew were later released under agreement of a treaty signed by the Pasha and the United States. Researching the subject I discovered these quotes.
"We find it almost impossible to inspire these wild bigots with confidence in us to persude them that, being Christians, we can be otherwise than enemies to Mussselmen,( Muslims). We have a difficult undertaking."
American Consul to Tunis Wailliam Eaton, on the trek that Americans, europeans and Muslims combined made from Egypt to the city of Dema
" Taught by Revelation that war with the Christians will guarantee the salvation of their souls, and finding so great secular advandages in the observance of this religious duty [ i.e. keeping captured cargos].thier inducments to desperate fighting is very powerful." William Eaton , 1799
So you see to live peacfully and harmoniously with 'Islam ' may not be possible due to its very nature.
Your friend thehawke
P.S. Look back at the 1970's and see the the actions of Islam.
