I wont go into the utopian myth that is al andalus, but i will say that the reason there are christian communities all over the muslim world is because there were christian communities (often the overwhelming majority of the population) all over the muslim world when the arabs invaded it and turned it into the muslim world. How many significant migrations of christians into muslim lands occured before what we would call the modern age, in fact how many in the modern age?
