The Dark Ages and the Christian ChurchReader comment on item: How Many Muslims in the United States? Submitted by Shilpa Popadum (United Kingdom), Jun 27, 2007 at 07:03 Dear Berry, Without Andalucia there would never be a European renaissance. Renaissance means rebirth. The rebirth of Arts and culture before the takeover of Europe by a repressive Christian church. We don't live in a Jedeo-Christian society, we live in a Greco-Roman rebirth. The Christian church was at it's hight in Europe during the Dark Ages, how would you explain this correlation? Saudi Arabia is not the full extent of the 'Muslim World', it is merely one state. See any correlation between colonialism and the decline of Muslim learning. It would be good if American Christians stop trying to rewrite history.
