in response to reader comment: truth or fiction?

If it may be permitted here, a couple of observations are made regarding the exchange about the ‘Apocalypse'- the revealing (for that is what apocalypse means) of a prophetical circumstance concerning Israel and the world, as referred here from its place in the Holy Bible (not the Quran, by the way) as the Revelation. Its writer John, we may further observe in the context, is in fact, the Apostle whom ‘Jesus loved', from the Gospel of the same name. He writes from Patmos where he was exiled for his witness as to who Jesus Christ is, being given this revelation as a completion of the sealed prophecy of Daniel, with specific cross-referencing of related scriptures.

One cannot read the Revelation independent of the necessity of having faith in Jesus Christ, the LORD, from whom and with whom one needs to be spiritually connected to receive its complete message. Otherwise, the oblique and worldly perceptions and misconceptions, as demonstrated by the ‘Grand Infidel's' co-debater, are taken out of context and the purpose of the revelation it provides becomes lost for the lack of insight into the real truth.

The understanding of the times we find ourselves in comes not from a specific fulfillment of the Revelation alone (though the references to the Churches in the first three chapters are related to the church age evidently now coming to a close), but fulfillment is found in those prophetic passages relating directly to Israel in the Nevi'im: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zephaniah (look at Gaza for a frame of reference), Zechariah, and others which lead up to its fulfillment. This is why it is dangerous for someone who does not have believing faith in Jesus Christ to read the Revelation and think they can argue its provisions to their benefit. It cannot be done; in fact they would be better off never having read it than to try and explain at the Great White Throne why they did not believe when they had the truth in front of them and rejected it.
