The Solution

Reader comment on item: Solving the "Palestinian Problem" [with the No-State Solution]

Submitted by Michael (United States), Jan 7, 2009 at 11:37

Until Arabs reject Islam as their religion there will be no peace in the Middle East and there can be no accomodation of a Jewish state by Muslims. Islam's god has literally in the Koran declared eternal war with the Jews. There is no such person as a moderate Muslim. Every Muslim is a hair trigger from the violence his religion demands against Jews and all other religions. If a Muslim doesn't believe the imperatives of the Koran then he is himself an infidel.

Therefore a Palestinian state and a Jewish state can never co-exist together. It will be one or the other but never the two together. Diaries of 19 century travelers to Jerusalem describe a land so desolate and destitute that it seemed cursed. Ancient Israel or Palestine in the 1800s was empty. It was an event to encounter a single person after days of travel. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries diasperate Jews began to immigrate back to their ancient homeland to escape resurgent and alarming antisemitism in Europe. These European Jews were educated, professional, and wealthy.

Arabs from all the surrounding countries began to relocate near the Jews for jobs and commercial opportunities. But these European Jews weren't the humiliated defering Jews that Islam had cowed so many centuries past and it wounded the pride of the Muslim Arabs. It was intolerable for Islamic religious leaders, a holy war, a jihad to kill or subdue the Jews began in ernest and has never ceased.

The only solution is for the huge land mass of Arab countries that surround the slender sliver of land called Israel to open their homelands and hearts providing full citizenship to their Muslim Palistinian brethren welcoming them back home leaving the land of Israel to the desendants of the original 12 Hebrew tribes who settled there 4000 years ago. There can be no other solution. Anything less is trying to force a reality that can never be, only frustration and continued violence can result drawing the whole world into the vortex.
